Jurney Poland, MCMT, was born and raised in Florida, where she attended college at the University of Florida. She received a bachelor's degree, and a black belt in karate, concurrently. One of her martial arts instructor's suggested that if they "could do harm to a body, they should also learn to help heal". That comment stayed with her.
After graduating from college, Jurney traveled extensively and lived in many places throughout the United States before moving to Colorado which is now home. Once settled here, she attended the Boulder College of Massage Therapy where she graduated with honors, and continued on as a teaching assistant. Continuing education has included Reiki, advance headache technique resolution, and Thai yoga massage. In 2007, she taught palpation and kinesiology at the Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy.
Her favorite activities include fun with her husband, and their 2 dogs, as well as reading and participating in ultramarathons. They reside in Broomfield, Colorado.
Jurney's mission is to provide each client with specific information and massage therapy techniques, as well as self help ideas, to assist the client in the relief of acute or chronic aches and pains, help them help themselves, and alleviate the mental and physical stress of everyday life, leaving him/her relaxed, rejuvenated, and prepared for optimal wellness.

AWRPT encourages the physical therapists to participate in continuing education. Each therapists takes two or more continuing education courses per year to further their manual therapy skills. This enables AWRPT to offer the best techniques and most current research in physical therapy to our patients.
